Healthy Communities of Pierce County is composed of various community groups. These groups evaluate conditions in a specific community then develop and implement projects to improve opportunities for active living and healthy eating in that community.

TACOMA-PIERCE COUNTY ACHIEVE
The Tacoma-Pierce County ACHIEVE coalition started in 2008 under a cooperative grant from the Centers for Disease Control and the YMCA of the USA. This initiative seeks to reduce childhood obesity within the Key Peninsula and the City of Tacoma using a policy, systems and environmental change approach.
The ACHIEVE coalition is governed by the CHART Leadership Team and is comprised of City and County leaders who have committed to reducing childhood obesity in Pierce County. To view a list of participating members, click here.
